Christ came at the fullness of time to fulfill the prophecies....
Many of the Old testaments prophecies are amazingly fulfilled in Jesus, word by
word...No one before or after can claim these prophecies. Christians, Jews,
Islam believed in the prophets of the old testaments, but may not be aware how
they were fulfilled in Jesus. More than 100 prophecies are already fulfilled
word by word as God had created a fingerprint to distinguish the Messiah. Some of
the other prophecies are about the second coming of Jesus which are recorded in
the Bible and in Quran. Some prophecies are scattered in many books of bible
where as some prophecies are explained in detail as in Isaiah chapter 53(700
years before Jesus). Prophet Zacharia's prophecies were about 500 years before
Jesus and were amazingly accurate. King David's prophecies were over a 1000
years before where he mentions that the hands and feet will be pierced.this with
ther prophecies indicates the death by crucifixion. In Israel, Crucifixion was
invented and used only during the Roman occupation which is a very short time
compared to the history of the holy land and David could predict the time of the
Messaiah.
Immediately after the death and resurretion of Jesus, he appeared to the
discouraged disciples who was walking to Emmaus and explains them how prophecies
are being fulfilled in him. [ Luke 24:25-27] Then Jesus said to them, "...How
slow you are to believe everything the prophets said..!. Was it not necessary
for the messiah to suffer these things and then enter into his glory..?" And
Jesus explained to them what was said about himself in all the scrptures,
beginning with the books of Moses and the writings of all the prophets.." At
the time of supper, ........[Luke 24:30-31] He broke the bread and gave it to
them.. then their eyes were opened and they recognized him..( since they knew
breaking of the bread was the symbol that Jesus taught them to remember the
death of Jesus).."
At the Gethsemane garden, when the Roman soldiers and religious authorities came
to capture Jesus, Peter took out a sword and tried to save Jesus. But Jesus tells
him "....Don't you know that I could call on my father for help, and at once he
would send 12 armies of angels? But in that case, how could the scriptures
come true which says that Messiah has to suffer and die(Matthew 26:50-54)?".

Micah 5:2-5 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small
among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will guide my
people Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times..."
It is to be noted that David is from Bethlehem. But Micah prophecied about the
devine child many centuries after David. and we can see that no other great
leader came from Bethlehem other than Jesus. There was also th eprophecy that
Jesus would This is a solid proof that God tells us about the Jesus.
|
Matthew 2:1-6 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of
King Herod, Magi(wise men)from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is
the one who has been born king of the Jews.....? Herod called the chief priest
and the teachers of the Law and asked "where will the Messiah will be born?" .
They answered, "Bethlehem and read this prophecy.
The visit of the Magi was specially significant. No one would make such a long
and difficult trip just to see a child( even if it is a future king of a mighty
empire). So the wisemen were convinced from their studies and the star, that a
great person will be born soon and they followed the star westword. They
probably knew that the infant would be born in Jewish land(Israel). At the
king's palace, the scholars showed them the prophecy about Bethlehem and finally
the wisemen could locate infant Jesus. Many civilizations knew about Jesus.

Second Coming of Jesus- Future prophecies
|
|
Did you know that even Muslims believe that It is 'Jesus' who is coming at the
end of time for the last judgment and not Mohammed or Allah or any other
prophets. As per Muslims, Jesus will come back from heaven at the end of time,
kill the 'Al Dajjal(antichrist)' and all the pigs........, and Jesus will judge
the living and the dead in the plains of Mahishara and take the good to heaven
etc. |
|
There will be strange things happening to the sun, the moon and the
stars......people will faint from fear as they wait for what is coming over the
whole earth, for the powers in space will be driven from their courses. then the
Son of man will appear, coming in a cloud with greater power and Glory.....Luke
21:25-28.
Revelation 2:7 (future) Look who is coming on the clouds, everyone will see him
including those who pierced him.
When the son of man comes as King of and all angels with him.....the people of
all nations will be gathered before him. Then he will divide them into two
groups.... he will put the righteous people on his right and the others on the
left....then he will tell the people on the right, "Come and posses the kingdom
which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. I was
hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me drink, iwas a stranger and you
recived me in your home, I was naked you clothed me, I was sick and you too care
of me, i was in prison and you visited me"................I tell you when you
did this to the least important...you did it to me........Matthew 25:31-46.
